If the patient is claustrophobic, what can be done to get them through the scan?

Many people are claustrophobic to some degree, we have found that coming to our center before your scan to see the machine and have the technologist place you in the scanner so you know what to expect sometimes helps. If you feel you need some medication, than it must be prescribed by your physician and someone must come with you to drive you home.

How soon can I be scheduled?

We can generally schedule your exam on the same day or next day. Generally, we find that this is more dependant on how fast the insurance company will authorize the scan. Molecular Imaging has a specialized department that in most cases can expedite this authorization. Certain exams will require a special preparation which will also determine the scheduling of your appointment.

How long will it take for the results?

At Molecular Imaging we strive for the results to be to your physician within twenty four hours, forty eight at the most. However, if your doctor needs to receive your results faster we can give him a preliminary STAT reading.

Can my doctor or myself make a special request?

Yes, we are here to work with you and your doctor, if there is a special request please let us know and we will do whatever we can to accommodate your needs.

Do you accept personal injury cases?

Yes, at Molecular Imaging we do accept personal injury cases where private insurance is not involved. If your attorney wants the case to be placed as a lien against the case we will obtain proper authorization. If your attorney requests that the private insurance be billed we may need to obtain a precertification. Though our specialized team at Molecular Imaging we can easily obtain what is necessary.
